The view from the balcony overlooking the creek was amazing, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The room needed better cleanliness; the carpets had some spots and the bathroom wasn't as fresh as expected.

Peaceful creekside views and a cozy fireplace made for a nice stay. Room cleanliness could definitely be improved; there were cobwebs and the balcony seemed neglected. Great fishing nearby!

This hotel offers an incredible spot just a short walk from the bustling main strip, allowing us to easily explore many attractions, like Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, which was just over a kilometer away, and grab a tasty bite at Geno's Pizza, which is less than a 5-minute walk from our door, plus the soothing sounds of the nearby babbling brook created a relaxing atmosphere as we enjoyed our mornings on the porch; the staff was friendly, and the rooms were spacious and clean, although I think the breakfast options could be a little more varied.

The view of the creek from my room is a winner. Breakfast hits the mark with friendly service and a big pool that promises fun.
But the cleaning could definitely step it up a notch.

Nice picnic area and clean rooms. Wi-Fi was slow and pool closed early.

Stunning river view from the private balcony. Room was spacious and furnished well. Hot water and working heater provided comfort during colder nights. Breakfast had potential but lacked variety; the same options every day grew tiresome. Friendly staff made breakfast enjoyable, but cleanliness issues cannot be ignored. The bathroom, unfortunately, required better attention—mold and dust were prevalent. The noisy location next to the elevator was disruptive. Trash in the backyard and across the creek marred the otherwise scenic view. the property holds promise, but significant maintenance is needed for a comfortable experience. With some changes, this place could be exceptional.

The place was a total letdown. Our room felt grimy and musty, with stained sheets and an uncomfortable mattress. Plus, the constant noise from nearby rooms made it impossible to get a decent night's sleep. Never again!

We hit up the endless hiking trails and rode horses like pros. Tubing was epic – totally wiped out on those rapids! loved biking through the scenic routes. The hotel was dope, with fire pits for chill hangs.
We needed a cool party vibe, like a DJ or karaoke night to amp up the fun.

The room had a rustic feel but was unfortunately disappointing in cleanliness. The bedding had stains and hairs, and we had to request new sheets. The pillows were too small, forcing us to buy extras. The balcony overlooked a lovely stream, which was a highlight. Unfortunately, the shower had not been cleaned thoroughly, with mildew present. We experienced significant noise from neighboring rooms, leading to sleepless nights. The bathroom was clean, but outdated fixtures and dusty corners detracted from the overall comfort. The location was convenient, but the state of the room made it hard to relax.

Amazing experience, amazing accommodation with a beautiful balcony overlooking the rushing brook and an incredibly friendly housekeeping staff who made sure we had fresh towels and a clean room every day.
Everything was first-rate.

Breakfast for $5 offered decent variety, but the eggs were definitely powdered and the sausage felt reheated. The room had a great size with a lovely balcony overlooking the creek, and the staff were a highlight—very accommodating when we decided to extend our stay. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable at night, but the place could use some sprucing up; the carpets had a musty smell and the fireplace wasn’t operational. Minor inconveniences like the lack of internet didn’t overshadow the scenic charm, though I wished for USB ports and better quality breakfast options.

Big room for everyone to kick back. The kids had a blast at the pool and arcade!
It wasn’t the cheapest spot around, but worth it for the memories.

I appreciated the wonderful staff at Brookside Lodge who were always friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views from the private balcony. The swimming pool was a highlight, and the $5 breakfast was great value, despite some mixed reviews on taste.

The Island is overwhelming, feels like a carnival. The courses offer lovely views, except for the golf. Ripley's attractions are hilarious; I couldn't tell if they were for kids or adults!
Cobwebs and scratched walls? Perfect anniversary ambiance!

I gotta say, the setting of the property was absolutely beautiful. The sound of the river from the balcony was so relaxing and added a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. Now, onto the not-so-great stuff. The room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The carpet was dirty, and there were muddy footprints in the bathtub - definitely not what you want to see when you're trying to relax. The balcony area was nice, but it needed some attention in terms of cleaning and maintenance. On the bright side, the breakfast spread was pretty good, with a wide variety of options available. the food wasn't always served hot, which was a bit of a letdown. One major issue for me was the lack of hot water in the shower - warm water just doesn't cut it, especially in colder weather. the internet kept cutting out, which was quite frustrating as I had to keep logging back in every 15-20 minutes. The room itself could definitely use some improvements. The bed was uncomfortable, and the moisture in the room made it feel damp and uncomfortable to stay in. The bathroom could have used a little more attention to detail in terms of cleaning. my stay at the Brookside had its ups and downs. The beautiful setting and convenient location were definitely the highlights, but issues like cleanliness, hot water, and room comfort could use some serious attention.

Spacious room, close to downtown, beautiful view of the creek, affordable breakfast, trolley stop nearby, and restaurants within walking distance.
Felt very happy, no complaints at all.

Gatlinburg's outdoorsy charm with endless fun activities like hiking through lush trails, splashing in the river, and exploring on horseback made our family vacation truly unforgettable. The kids were overjoyed with the adventurous spirit of this rustic gem.
My wife says that ensuring a more thorough cleaning specially for families with young children would be beneficial.

staying at brookside lodge was a wonderful experience. the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Jennifer helped me book an extra room and ensured that our rooms were next to each other by the creek side. the rooms were upgraded and comfortable, with fireplaces and beautiful views of the brook. the location was perfect, just a short walk to downtown, and the amenities, including the pool and hot tub, were exceptional.
for us it was ideal 😊

Located near a rushing brook with balconies offering a peaceful view; cost-effective hot breakfast served until 11 am. Cleaning staff went above and beyond, ensuring a tidy room each morning and providing fresh towels.
Some rooms were outdated and had issues with gnats; pool was cold;

Man, let me tell you, the view from our balcony was lit! Overlooking the river, it was so chill. The beds were surprisingly comfy. Also, the location was clutch, with a trolley stop right at the hotel's doorstep.
Bruh, this place needs some serious TLC. The room was dark and felt dirty.

We had a fantastic time at this well-maintained hotel by the creek in Gatlinburg. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even upgrading us to the honeymoon suite for our anniversary. The location was perfect, with a trolley stop right outside and a short walk to downtown. Waking up to the sound of birdsong and the view of the creek was an absolute treat. We'll definitely be returning next year!
That the door let in a bit of outside air, but we easily covered it up with a towel.
